Ramen

Ramen noodles are Japanese soul food, You can find ramen noodles in every corner of the country and in seemingly endless regional variations. There are Four main types of Ramen Miso, Soysauce (Shoyu), Salt(Shio) and Tonkotsu made with pork bone but now there is a lot of variety soup base stock made with chicken,seafood mixed and match the taste.

Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum has alot of choice for Ramen store and you can order half size or regular size in every store.

Ramen kokugikan in Odaiba tokyo has also a collection of different ramen styles.

Sushi

There is alot of sushi store across japan from highend to normal sushi restaurant and supermarket.

One of the popular from japanese family is the conveyor sushi Sushiro, Kura sushi, Hama sushi and a lot more. You can order thru the tablet provided on each table or get what you want on the conveyor.

Takoyaki

A ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special molded pan. It is typically filled with minced or diced octopus (tako), tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger (beni shoga), and green onion (negi).The balls are brushed with takoyaki sauce (similar to Worcestershire sauce) and mayonnaise, and then sprinkled with green laver (aonori) and shavings of dried bonito (katsuobushi).

Onigiri

is a Japanese food made from white rice formed into triangular or cylindrical shapes and often wrapped in nori. Onigiri traditionally have sour or salty fillings such as umeboshi (pickled Chinese plum), salted salmon, katsuobushi (smoked and fermented bonito), kombu, tarako or mentaiko (pollock roe), or takanazuke (pickled Japanese giant red mustard greens).

Available in different convenience store and supermarkets.

Gyudon

Also known as gyūmeshi , (“beef and rice”), is a Japanese dish consisting of a bowl of rice topped with beef and onion simmered in a mildly sweet sauce flavored with dashi (fish and seaweed stock), soy sauce and mirin (sweet rice wine). It may sometimes also be served with toppings such as raw or soft poached eggs, Welsh onions (negi), grated cheese or kimchi.

Available in Sukiya, Yoshinoya and Matsuya.

Yakiniku

“Yakiniku” commonly refers to a style of cooking bite-size meat (usually beef and offal) and vegetables on gridirons or griddles over a flame of wood charcoals carbonized by dry distillation (sumibi) or a gas/electric grill. It is one of the most popular dishes in Japan. The origin of contemporary yakiniku is considered to be Korean barbecue, one of the most popular dishes in Korean cuisine.
