CEBU PACIFIC FLIGHT FORCED TO DIVERT TO KANSAI AIRPORT DUE TO FUKUOKA AIRPORT’S CURFEW POLICY
On the 19th, a Cebu Pacific Air flight from Manila to Fukuoka was diverted to Kitakyushu Airport and then to Kansai International Airport, arriving just after 11:40 p.m. The 186 passengers were stuck for about eight hours.
Previously, in September 2023, a similar diversion led to a return to Manila due to Fukuoka Airport’s 10 p.m. curfew. This time, they diverted within Japan to lessen passenger inconvenience.
Fukuoka aiport has the strictest rule when it comes to landing time that there should be no arrival after 10PM due to the noise complaint by nearby residents.
