For 2024, we have lots of san-ren-kyu or 3 day holidays in Japan.

The first half of Golden Week will be closed for three days from April 27th (Saturday) to April 29th (Monday), and the second half will be for four days from May 3rd (Friday) to May 6th (Monday). If you take paid leave between April 30th (Tuesday) and May 2nd (Thursday), you can aim for up to 10 consecutive holidays.

On the other hand, there are two three-day holidays in autumn, from September 14th (Saturday) to 16th (Monday) and from September 21st (Saturday) to 23rd (Monday). If you take four days off from the 17th (Tuesday) to the 20th (Friday), a 10-day “private silver week”.

Furthermore, the days of the week are the best during the year-end and New Year holidays of 2024-2025! 9 consecutive holidays from December 28th (Saturday) to January 5th (Sunday)! (The year-end and New Year holidays from 2025 to 2026 will also be a long year-end and New Year holidays)

This calendar is good news for those planning leisure and travel, but maybe scary for those in the service industry and hospitality industry, where public holidays and public holidays can be overwhelming!
