TOKYO IS CONSIDERING 10,000 – 20,000 YEN ASSISTANCE TO CARE WORKERS
Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike disclosed that the Tokyo metropolitan government is currently considering offering its assistance of estimated at around 10,000 to 20,000 yen per month to nursing care workers.
The primary goal, according to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is to secure a sufficient workforce, with specifics like timing and eligibility currently under finalization.
This announcement was made during her New Year’s greetings on the 4th. Koike stressed the importance of fostering an environment that sustains hope for those engaged in nursing care and expressed intentions to tailor measures based on Tokyo’s specific needs.
Additionally, the government plans to augment the monthly wages of nursing care workers by 6,000 yen starting February this year. With escalating housing expenses in Tokyo, she deemed it essential to provide more substantial support.
