FILIPINO MAN RELEASED FROM HAMAS SAID HE WAS SURVIVING BY ‘EATING TOILET PAPER’
When hostage Jimmy Pacheco arrived at the airport in the Philippines on the 18th, his family rushed in and hugged each other. Pacheco was working as a caregiver in Israel when he was abducted by Hamas for about a month and a half and released on November 24th.
Regarding the conditions during his abduction, Pacheco previously said in an interview with his support group, “I was only given half a loaf of bread a day.” To stave off his hunger, he “didn’t use the toilet paper given to him when he went to the bathroom, kept it in his pocket, wet it on the damp tunnel wall, and ate it.”
Pacheco hopes to return to Israel soon to resume his work to support his family. (Yahoo news)
