CEBU PACIFIC AIR’S THIRD QUARTER NET PROFIT OF 1.3 BILLION PESOS (150% INCREASE COMPARED TO THE SAME PERIOD LAST YEAR)
Cebu Pacific Air [CEB], the top domestic low-cost airline, reported a robust financial performance in the recent quarter, with a net profit of P1.28 billion—marking a 150% increase compared to the same period last year. In the January-September span, the airline saw a remarkable 141% year-on-year increase, totaling P5 billion.
During the third quarter, CEB experienced a 39% year-on-year revenue surge, reaching P23.3 billion. This growth is notably 23% higher compared to its pre-pandemic net profit in 2019, showcasing a resilient performance. Operating 35,000 flights (up by 18% year-on-year), carrying 5.3 million passengers (a 27% increase), and achieving an 83.7% paid seat utilization rate (up by 13%) in this period.
The domestic passenger count rose by 5% to 4 million, while the international segment saw a significant 228% surge to 1.3 million passengers marking a remarkable improvement for the international sector.
