PRESIDENT MARCOS’ SURPRISE VISIT TO OFWS DURING SINGAPORE TRIP
President Marcos, currently on an official visit to Singapore, surprised and delighted many Filipino overseas workers (OFWs) by making an impromptu visit to the popular Lucky Plaza Mall, known for its popularity among OFWs.
The President, accompanied by his wife Liza, son Joseph Simon, and cousin Speaker Romualdez, arrived at the mall in a casual outfit and was warmly welcomed by Filipino residents.
During his visit, he interacted with OFWs, took photos, and even posted a 30-minute video of the encounter on his YouTube channel. The mall was filled with excited onlookers, and the President’s surprise visit was met with gratitude and expressions of ongoing support from the OFWs.
President Marcos had been in Singapore for the 10th Asia Summit and returned to the Philippines after this heartwarming visit, which also included meetings with business leaders to discuss investment and expansion opportunities.
